I read this article in which I will tag on the bottom of this post. It expressed how our society views boundaries and big hearted people. If you like to help others and it makes you feel good, that is amazing and continue to do so. However, it is ok to know your limits. I like to call this SELF-CARE. Know when you need an evening to decompress, take care of yourself and breathe. In doing so you can recharge that energy to continue to pay it forward.

The holidays seem to be a tough one for individuals, because there is time and energy being pulled in different directions, plus multiple needs that others have in which you feel you can not fully meet. Remember, you can still be loving, caring, helpful and kind…just do not hesitate to take a moment to yourself.
Be kind to yourself and to others…and that is how you can be effective at having healthy boundaries!
